About This Item

London: Vernon & Yates, 1969. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. London, Vernon & Yates, 1969. Octavo; papered boards very slightly marked; one corner a trifle bumped; rear cover slightly abraded; ownership signature; a very good copy with the very good dustwrapper a little marked, creased, chipped and torn. Dated (11 July 1970) and signed by the author. Urmston is a country doctor who learns to fly and builds an aeroplane of his own (a Curry Wot biplane with Walter Micron engine). ''I have something in mind,' I said. My wife looked up from her book. 'Will it make a mess on the carpet?''.
