Publisher's vellum backed blue cloth with light fading spine lettered in gilt. Light speckling to back of Frontis leaf. O#123 of 125 copies signed by the artist, with a signed pencil drawing below the frontispiece. "Ever since I can remember I have taken the greatest interest in birds ... I have frequently been asked to issue in book form a collection of my paintings and sketches together with some of my notes, which I have kept as carefully as possible. This is such a book. It contains a number of plates in pencil and colour, some being reproductions of finished pictures, others of sketches made in the open, and in one or two instances of pages extracted from sketch books..."
