London; Hodder & Stoughton, 1957, 1957. Hard Cover. FIRST EDITION. Octavo, pp. 190. Colour frontispiece and 5 further colour plates by Stead. Publisher's red cloth with black titles to spine & upper board, and black aeroplane motif to upper board in an unclipped pictorial jacket. Publisher's review request slip loosely inserted. A near fine book in a very good dust-jacket, most probably a review copy. A hint of toning to upper edge, dust-jacket spine lightly sunned. Single 2cm closed tear to rear panel of dust-jacket with historical clear tape repair. With pale blue Hodder & Stoughton review slip laid in, with date of publication stated as 18th July 1957. Biggles and his Air Force Pilots are hot on the trail of jewel thieves in Soho. No. 59 in the Biggles series.
