Very good+ (somewhat sunned but clean and unmarked and in remarkable condition for a book this old) in good only dust jacket (edgeworn, chipped, especially at folds and top edge; now in Brodart cover to protect it). A fictionalized version of Paul Robeson's college years. Miers wrote many books, some for children, many in the field of history, especially the Civil War. This is one of the more difficult books to find.. 1st Edition. Hard Cover. Illus. by Vance Locke.
