Early 18th century edition of The New Testament, in Russian language. Book contains all the books from The New Testament (characteristic for Orthodox confession): the Gospels, which detail Christ's earthly life, Acts of the Apostles, the Epistles, and the Book of Revelation. This edition also includes 2 Esdras, an apocalyptic book characteristic for different versions of Bible. Book is decorated with beautiful woodcut engravings depicting the figures of apostles and saints.

Binding: Brand new luxurious leather binding. Beautifully decorated with blindstamped panels and spine cover.Condition: First eleven leaves are missing. First few leaves of the textblock are showing significant signs of damage (probably caused by fire), rest of the leaves with stains due to ageing and usage. Some of the leaves torn on the edges. Text legibility fully preserved.
