New York: Pantheon, 1956. First American Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. Very good. Octavo. 5.5 x 8 in. 201 pp. Very good in original decorative boards with a black cloth binding and a very good illustrated dust jacket that has fading on the spine and gentle rubbing along the bottom edges. The back lower left corner has rubbing that has work through the jacket in a few small spots. The interior pages are clean and the binding is firm. A rare novel of London during the second World War originally published in French in 1948 by Bryher, who was the long-term partner of Hilda Doolitle.
