Pp. xvi+296, coloured frontispiece, 37 black & white plates, 3 charts (2 folding), appendices, index; med. 8vo; navy cloth, lettered in gilt and black, the edges lightly rubbed, fore-corners slightly bruised, lightly frayed at head and tail of spine; uncut; hinges weak at several points, with some leaves and a plate slightly detached and frayed at edges, bookplate of David Levine, Sydney, on upper pastedown, and his acquisitions stamp on the upper free endpaper, some very heavy foxing, The Times Book Club sticker at foot of lower pastedown, offset, and with loosely inserted TBC 'Returned Volumes' slip for subscribers, clipped at top right hand corner; Cassell and Company, Ltd, London, 1921. First edition.

All books are in very good, or better, condition with defects, if any, fully described. Traditional trade terms apply. Items are offered subject to prior sale.
