First edition, in the publisher's original smart, black cloth binding, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper.Written by English dramatist and author, Francis Durbridge, who was known for his murder mystery works and for the creation of his character Paul Temple, who featured in a regular BBC radio series from 1938 onwards. 'Bat Out of Hell' tells the story of a peculiar and sinister murder mystery, after a series of messages start appearing after the murder of a wealthy estate agent by his wife and her lover. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent, with light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and the odd handling mark. Dust wrapper is smart, with light edge wear and the occasional handling mark. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Near Fine
