About This Item

[London 1967], Hodder. Blue cloth, very good, 239p., 31 b.w. photos, endpaper map, dj. When the Viet Cong terrorists swept down from the mountains, the villagers lacked a leader. Many of the ribes were still completely pagan, enslaved by sorcers and offering blood sacrafices to their gods and engaged in blood feuds against their neighbors. Miraculously, out of the chaos arouse two tribesmen, Sau and his brother Kar, who had been converted to Christianity in their youth. They rallied the people of nearby villages in one true Spirit of the Skies. The Cong eventually forced the people to abandon their villages, they fled to the fertile river valley, after their conversion to Christ. They remain as a testimonial to the anti-communist Viet Cong. Fascinating primary source by the Michigan news- paperman, who lived among them for several months, to tell their story. .
