About This Item
Dallas: The Kaleidograph Press, 1950. Cloth. Very good/good. 8vo, pp, [8], ix-x, 86. Red illustrated cloth boards with blue accents. Firm binding; no loose pages. Book and dust jacket with minor wear. Lightly tanned pages. Dust jacket tanned at edges and with chips and small tears. Daisy Lemon Coldiron was a longtime resident of Perry, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Poetry Society of Oklahoma and won their inaugural prize for best Oklahoma poem in 1936. A critic said of one of her books: "There is epic strength in these poems by Mrs. Coldiron, a pioneer resident and poet of the State which she celebrates in lines that are tanged with the salt and sorrows of its historic soil."
