About This Item
New York: Dodd, Mead & Company Book. Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 1936, x, 266pp, with thirty one drawings by Putnam Brinley. Light wear, else VG. Cape Breton is in Nova Scotia. Among many other interesting tidbits, we learn that Alexander Graham Bell is buried there. Another in the travel series by this witty and articulate couple. They manage to see and do practically everything in the places they choose to visit and write about; they camp on a river bank one day and are guests in a luxurious house, owned by one of their acquaintances, the next. I've never seen pictures of them, but their sophisticated humor is reminiscent of William Powell and Myrna Loy in the THIN MAN movies..
