1938. Hardcover. Very Good. [approx. 60 leaves]; 11 x 16 cm. Green covers with a dark green tie. Gilt-stamped cover title and blind-stamped cover illustration of a sailing ship. The inscriptions are all from Jan. 1938 and indicate that Mildred Deaver was graduating from Eddystone High School. The inscriptions are all in verse and often include an added comment beginning "Yours till." The local variation is "Yours till Dela wares rubber pants to keep her bottom dry." Eddystone High School burned down in 1960; the Eddystone Elementary School is now on the site. In Very Good Condition: cover is rubbed; clean and tight.

Good/No Jacket. A card sheet with a printed signature from Louis Botha. Beneath are the signatures of his daughters, Helena and Frances. Also the signature of N J de Wet, who was on Louis Botha's staff during the Anglo-Boer war, became a lawyer and politician, and during World War II acted as Governor-General.
