About This Item
Seattle: Kroll Map Company Inc, 1970. Hardcover. Fair. Elephant folio (16 x 30 inches). Pp. [61]. Scale 4 inches = 1 mile (pages 1 - 41, west) and 2 inches = 1 mile (pages 42 - 61, east). Blueprints one side each leaf, screw post bound in embossed black cloth covered hinged boards, gilt title and insignia stamped on front board. Pages 1 - 41 are 2-page verso-recto spreads, 42 - 61 are recto only. Maps within Seattle city limits have reduced detail with references to Kroll's Atlas of Seattle.
Corners bumped, edges scuffed. Several leaves torn some with tape repairs, corner creases, edge wear, stains, cigarette burns, title company pencil and ink annotations. As no publication date is printed on the maps, we have concluded 1970 thus: Kroll moved from the printed location on Second Avenue to new quarters on Sixth in 1975, 1960s highway completions are present, and annotations appear to be dated from 1970. Though well-used this volume is complete. Shipping expense will exceed the standard shipping cost applied at check-out. We can ship USPS Media Rate. We charge for postage only, with no handling costs.
