NY: Robert M. McBride & Company, 1937. Hardcover. Original contents have tanned slightly but still in lovely condition with the new leather binding and slipcase in fine condition. Photographs upon request. First edition, special Missouri edition, signed by Thomas Hart Benton. 276pp., 64 illustrations in two colours. This copy has been trimmed and rebound in full rust coloured leather with leather spine label, gilt titling, sewn-in ribbon marker, housed in brown and tan leatherette covered slipcase.

A classic and worth getting Benton's late-revised printing as he revised it several times as he aged. The description of the copy was understated as it was in virtually mint condition upon receipt. Wonderful volume for lovers of this artist.
