Columbia, MO: University of Missouri Press, 1968. Third Revised Edition. Signed by the author / artist, Thomas Hart Benton: “To Paul Henning, Thomas H. Benton.” at the half-title. Paul Henning (1911 - 2005) was the creator, writer, and producer of such popular television shows as The Beverly Hillbillies, Green Acres, and Petticoat Junction. Illustrated with 76 black & white drawings by Benton. Thomas Hart Benton’s autobiography, with new information that did not appear in either the first or second editions of the book which were published in 1937 and 1951, making this the definitive text. Fine copy in a very good lightly used dust jacket with some minor dust soiling and rubbing, and a few tiny chips.

A classic and worth getting Benton's late-revised printing as he revised it several times as he aged. The description of the copy was understated as it was in virtually mint condition upon receipt. Wonderful volume for lovers of this artist.
