San Francisco: Paul Elder, 1915. First Edition. 8vo, pp. 94. Illustrated throughout, untrimmed, in dj with pieces missing to the foredge, part of the lower corner of the front board nicked and about 1 inch of the paper missing.A good copy. This was consumer advocate Florence Kelley's copy with a presentation to her: "To Florence Kelley who is my Pentacostal fire with love & gratitude Katherine Philips Edson May 29th 1915." A nice association copy. FK. Neuhaus was chairman of the Western Advisory Committee and member of the San Francisco jury in the Department of fine arts of the Exposition.Edson 1870-1933) was a social worker and involved in a number of reform causes and "constructive philanthropy," public health issues. She was the chair of the Political League which lead to the ballot for women in Southern California.
