Temple Press Books, London, No date. First Edition. Hardcover (Illustrated Boards). Good Condition/Fair. Illustrator: Russell Brockbank. foreword by author. The text is illustrated with black-and-white motoring cartoons by Russell Brockbank. Illustrated boards with red coloured titles to the front panel and black coloured titles to the back strip. Illustrated dustwrapper, same illustration as the underlying boards, with red coloured titles to the front panel and black coloured titles to the back strip. Motoring, in the late 1950s and early 60s, as seen by Russell Brockbank. Softening to the back strip edges with bumping of the book corners – the underlying board is visible. The spine is somewhat cocked and there is a 3" split to the lower edge of the front spine gutter. Light age toning and faint foxing to the text block edges with age toning of the pages. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and back strip edges. Mouldable tears to the top dustwrapper edge, some with associated creasing and previous owner has supported the top and lower back strip edge with tape and a small split to the lower edge of the rear panel – tape residue visible. Rubbing to the dustwrapper panels with fading and staining of the back strip. Some staining to the verso. Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall. 64 pages.. Dust Jacket price-clipped.
