Desert scene front and map in rear. Illustrated in color and black and white by different artists, including Roger Tory Peterson. Inscribed and signed by author on half-title page. (Included are 4 christmas greeting cards (1952-1955) from author and wife to person inscription is directed to). Book in very good, clean condition with a light bit of foxing to verso of half title; and a bit of off-setting to rear end-pages from dust jacket flap. Dust jacket is in good condition with edgewear and small chips and tears.
