Philadelphia: Joseph Crukshank for the Use of the University, 1775. Ninth edition in English, 1775. Heavily worn copy with old expert repairs to the front free endpaper, title page and first page of the dediction, "An Apology for the True" portion of title missing. Brown leather with black leather spine, most likely from an old repair, [12], 574, [18] pages. Rear cover detached, front cover attached by cords, leather chipped, first four leaves starting to separate from the bottom, text block otherwise sound, pages age-toned but clean. Outstanding calligraphic ownership notation on front free endpaper "Abraham Hanzer His Book 1775", also with some old professional repairs and the letter k absent. . Hard Cover. Poor. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
