First edition, 2 volumes (of 6), 8vo, pp. xxiv, 426; vii, [1], 453, [3] ads; uncut; original pink paper-overed boards with an early 20th century library rebacking in tan cloth, manuscript titling on spine, perforated stamps of St. Paul Public Library on title pages and related stickers on upper covers; front endpapers of volume I and rear endpapers of volume II replaced; good and sound. With an interesting 1807 manuscript list of borrowers on the first flyleaf, indicating the lending library accession number, rules, return dates, etc.: No. 426 - These two volumes to be kept by each subscriber One Month when reced. when retnd, 1807" followed by a list of 14 names.
