The text is illustrated with black-and-white and colour reproductions of artwork. Colour illustrated paperback binding with white coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Quoting from the foreword, page 5, " ... The exhibition, Anamorphoses: Games of Perception and Illusion in art, which begins its tour of the United States in Boston, is not a museum event of the usual type, for it focuses on the art form with which most of us are unfamiliar as we are with is exotic-sounding name. For many centuries artists have been playing games with perspective and creating surprising illusions. Great artists such as Leonardo da Vinci and Hans Holbein used the curious and fascinating affect that is called "anamorphic". It presents us with a totally distorted representation of reality, which can only be restored to its true form when the image is viewed from an oblique angle or reflected in a cylinder, phone, or prism." The as issued silver page is present and has never been used, as, it still has its tissue paper attached. A little creasing to the top corners of the book with rubbing of the book edges and panels.
