New and Revised Edition, 1872. 8vo, approximately 180 x 125 mm, 7 x 5 inches, engraved portrait of the author as frontispiece with tissue guard, the portrait not present in the first edition of 1827, includes an illustration of the title page of the first edition, text in English and French on facing pages, title page plus 1-123 pages, original publisher's green cloth, title and author in gilt lettering to upper cover, original yellow endpapers.
