About This Item
New York: Funk & Wagnalls Company, 1893 Part of a series. With black-and-white frontispiece portrait of Gough. The spine is somewhat sunned and there are random tiny white specks to the lower half of the front cover cloth. This appears to be one of those library books that was purchased with the intent to inspire youth, as it came from the Hinkley, Maine Good Will Library (a charitable institution for boys). With library marks: inkstamps to front endpapers and title page, bookplate affixed to inside cover, unmarked "date due" slip affixed to rear endpaper, rear card strip, spine lettering. Appears otherwise unused. Interior clean and tight.
