Hilton, NY: Winston Publishing, 2017. Softcover. Fine. Fine, fresh example, Signed by E.A. Maruggi on the title page. Softcovers, ix+60pp. with bibliography/ reference list. Illustrated with vintage and contemporary photos, reproductions, maps. Generalogical research project dealing with the life and Father Joseph Biggio (1824-1866), a catholic priest who is considered the first direct immigrant from Italy to Rochester, New York. Biggio arrived in the Rochester area in 1849, was ordained by bthe Bishop of Timon of the Archdiocese of Buffalo and his first pastorate was St. Ambrose's (locally known as The Church of the Woods). In 1855, he moved to Bordentown, New Jersey to begin his second pastorage at St. Mary's Church. Biggio died in May, 1866.
