Publisher's full brown cloth, red lettering on spine and cover, red embossed illustration on cover, color illustrated endpapers, illustrated with full-page, full-color plates by John Rae. This is a reprint of the original 1921 Volland edition. "With one exception, all the tales in this book are adapted from the legends collected by Henry R. Schoolcraft, ethnologist and government agent for the Lake Superior country, and published under the title, "Algic Researches." . Former owner's name and date (1937) on ffep, else fine. VERY GOOD. .
