Printed by B. Graves for the Author, 1806. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Good. Full leather binding with gilt rules to spine, red leather spine label, 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", 648 pp. + index. Wear to joints, rubbing & one ink stain to cover, dampstain to top outer quadrant of pages starts at about 580 and goes to the end--all text legible; foxing to pages; folding table intact. McMahon was a horticulturist who was responsible for the plant samples brought back from the Lewis & Clark Expedition, and who was Thomas Jefferson's gardening mentor. This Gardener's Calendar was his greatest contribution to gardening, and it went through several editions for over 50 years.
