Jewett & Co., 1850 Title continues: With a Description of the Best Varieties of the Fruit Including New and Valuable Kinds; Embellished and Illustrated with Numerous Engravings of Fruits, Trees, Insects, Grafting, Budding, etc., etc. Laid in are several hand written notes. Title page states this is Eighteenth Thousand. Condition notes: (xxiv), 288 numbered pp; HB. Pages: clean, lt toned, tight, frontis; a.e. sunned, front hinge starting. Cover: leather, four false bands, gilt titles to black leather spine paster; moderate shelfwear, extrems somewhat worn, with narrow loss to head, front joint cracked, board hanging in there, large dampstain back, a few sm stains front.

Very Good (VG)-small to modest tears, chips, marks, cocked etc. Good (G)-not so much, with larger tears or chips, possibly soiled, cocked, etc. Fair-ugly, with pages or large areas of DJ missing or other major defects. Poor(P)-truly ugly, disbound or requiring other major rehabilitation. We stabilize most minor defects with archival quality materials, and with few exceptions, these stabilizations are reversible
