About This Item
Hardcover. Good. J S Redfield, New York, 1858; large 4to, 230 x 290mm; pp [iii]-viii, [3] - 304, but apparently complete despite the odd numbering; profusely illustrated throughout with line drawing; red buckram, spine gilt, probably a somewhat later trade binding; some rubbing of the spine ends and light bumping of the corners; some scattered foxing but internally generally clean and firmly bound. ... ... ... ... ... The comprehensive work includes sections on drawing in general, drawing the human figure, geometry and perspective, nature drawing, composition, etching, engraving, modelling and painting. ... ... ... ... ... NOTE that as the book weighs some 1.5kg it will require a carriage supplement for overseas (but not UK domestic) sending, the exact amount depending on destination and process.
