London: Collins, 1954 VG/VG. 8vo. original red cloth gilt, lower edge uncut (prev. owner's name boldly written onto FFE, occ. spotting to edges of leaves, top edge dusty) in dustwrapper (price-clipped, some rubbing to rear panel, a few short closed tears, spotting to reverse); pp. 256 (last blank), with 13 plates & 4 maps. A very good copy. [Neate D17: Canadian Denman travelled in disguise through Tibet with a few native companions and made a solo attempt on Everest from the north. The first half of the book recounts his ascents of all the remote Virunga Mountains in Central Africa].. First UK. Hard Cover. VG/VG.
