About This Item
1916. SMITH, Ernest Ashton. ALLEGHENY- A CENTURY OF EDUCATION 1815-1915. Meadville, PA: The Allegheny College History Company, [1916]. Small quarto, black, quarter-morocco leather & boards, stamped in gilt. Signed, Limited Edition of an unknown number of copies for people who contributed in some way toward production of the book, of which this is #52 and signed by the author on the limitation page. We are guessing the limitation may have been 100 copies. Although this work has been reprinted, original copies are uncommon and this limited edition is scarce! A history of the founding of Allegheny College. Very Good (bit of rubbing covers with some spotting to the fore-edge; contents clean & tight). $250.00.
