Harvard University Press, 1963. Hardcover. Very Good Plus. A very good copy of the First Printing from the library of David Herbert Donald . winner of two Pulitzer Prizes for his biographies of Charles Sumner and Thomas Wolfe and celebrated biographer of Abraham Lincoln . This is a nice copy of the book . The interior is clean , no marks of any kind . The hinges are tight . The cloth on the boards is fresh and the graphics on the spine are bright . The dust jacket has a large chip at the top of the front panel and shows wear at the corners . The dust jacket is now protected with an archival cover .
