Handed down through the generations, the fables have been rewritten by Munro Leaf for this deluxe reprint edition by the Heritage Press, based on the many variations available. With illustrations by Robert Lawson and an introduction by Emile Van Vliet. --- Bound in full yellow cloth-covered boards with Lawson illustrations on covers & gilt titling on brown spine block. Sandglass flyer laid in (Norwalk, no number). Volume housed in brown paper-covered slipcase. --- With light sunning and a little soiling to spine, otherwise a bright, clean, tightly-bound copy lacking additional damages. Structurally sound slipcase in great shape.; Small Quarto - 9 to 11 in. tall; xii, 130 pages .
