About This Item
London, Hutchinson & Co. 1898 1st thus. Hardback, 8 x 5 inches. Maroon cloth with gilt lettering to spine and front, with blind embossed ‘flag’ decoration to front. Plain endpapers. In very good condition. Rubbing to extremities, corners bumped with chip to top corner of front board and top of spine. Two small bumps to leading edges. Endpapers darkened with small glue repair to front. Embossed stamp to top of title page “With the Publishers Compliments,” neat inscription adjacent. A couple of very minor spots inside, else pages very clean and tight throughout. 342 + 2pp cat.
