Part of the "Classics of the Old West" series. Facsimile reprint of the 1871 edition. black & white illustrations. This is a book about William Alexander Anderson Wallace and his true adventures. He was involved with the Texan war for independence from Mexico and was one of the first to join the Texas Rangers. Eventually, he was captured by Mexican authorities and spent some time in a Mexican prison. Wallace was a great story-teller and crowds would come to listen to him when he told his stories in saloons. Includes the standard issue letter from the Time editors. . Hard Cover. Fine/No Jacket.
