Melbourne: Oxford University Press. 1996. 1st ed., pp.xiv, 162 pages, col & b&w plates and illus., wraps. Previous owner's stamp halftitle page, creasing to upper cnrs. Near-fine condition. The author, a curator at the National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, examines drawings produced by Aboriginal artists between 1803 and 1903. Main artists are Tommy McCrae (c1823-1901), William Barak (c1824-1903) and Ulladulla Mickey (c1820-1891) who painted during the late 1890s. 1st paperback. Wraps.
