Hardcover Book in Very Good Condition with a Good Dust Jacket. Diverse photographs throughout of Chinese people, public figures, activities, sports, etc. This book is the product of Ross Terrill's trip to China in 1971, as one of the first correspondents for an American publication (Atlantic Monthly) to be admitted after Peking opened its doors. Binding of green cloth with gilt titles, tight sewn binding, very clean, no marks, lightly rubbed on some edges. Map of China on endpapers. Internals very clean and completely unmarked. Jacket clean on front, back is dingy, with light corner and edgewear and a tear about 2 inches long along the center of the front spine as it folds over the front board. Protected with a mylar cover. Interesting illustration of Chinese scene on jacket. 235 pages. 1972, Little, Brown and Company, USA
