Souvenir Press, London, 1975. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Very Good Condition/Good. Illustrator: Illustrated. Preface by A. E. Van Vogt, introduction by author and appendix, some facts about the universe the text is illustrated with both colour and black-and-white reproductions of illustrations from the science fiction pulp magazines by various artists. Red coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Colour illustrated dustwrapper with orange and black coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. A journey through the fabulous illustrations of the science fiction pulp magazines from 1926 to 1953. Rubbing of the lower book edges and top book corners. Age toning of the text block edges. Offset tanning to the end pages and there is a black coloured mark to the top right hand corner of the free front end page. Creasing of the top dustwrapper edge with rubbing of the other edges and panels. Fading of the back strip with some marks to the front panel. A little browning to the verso of the dustwrapper and there is 1/4 inch tear to the top edge of the front panel. First English Translation. Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall. [5], 6 - 175, [1] pages,.
