Giovanni Palazzi was a 17th-century Venetian historian best-known for his extensive work of Western European history 'Monarchia Occidentalis". The complete work itself covered the histories of numerous European powers including Rome, Bavaria, Austria, Swabia, France, Saxons, and others. This 1679 first editions covers the history of Austria, the Holy Roman Empire, and their correspondence and diplomacy with foreign leaders. It should be noted that this volume is filled with impressive illustrations throughout including coins, symbols, and full-page allegorical engravings.
