Brown half-calf with 5 raised bands, tan calf title label with gilt titles to spine and ruling to compartments; matching brown cloth boards; all edges sprinkled red. Spine a little scuffed and sunned; minor wear at corners. Scattered foxing, a little heavier to early and late leaves, otherwise contents clean; no annotation or inscriptions. A Very Good copy. Biography of the American President, including the origins of the family and emigration to America, abridged from the original by "omissions... mostly of a political or general nature" from which the biographical incidents and narrative have been preserved without change. Scarce.
