Edition not known, In quite good russet coloured limp covers, black tittles and image of lady of the barge on front. The covers are fairly clean and firm, with creased corners. Tanned end papers; name on front free end paper. Tanned cut edges. The text block is in better condition, good plus, light foxing on a few pages, but not tanned, quite tightly bound, slight vertical warp. Pages 123 - 128 have a tiny piece missing from tail edge.

Pages have mild tanning and foxing throughout, moderate at end-papers, paste-downs and text-block edges. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Moderate tanning to spine, sunning to inner edge of boards. Gilt lettering is darkened. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean.

Severe cracking to hinges causing boards to be loose. Plate to page 230 detached but still present. Pages and plates have light tanning and foxing throughout. Previous owner's inscriptions and stamp to front pastedown. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Light tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends.
