First edition with full number line on copyright page of this updated book first published in 1957 - a precursor to O'Brian's Aubry and Maturin novels. In original, unclipped, dust jacket in mylar. Maroon boards, black (or dark blue/indigo, I can't quite tell) cloth spine, and gildded lettering on spine. Deckled long fore edge. Interior very clean, clear, and crisp.
