This was my favorite book at about 10 years old (I'm 56). It was magical to me! I started doing things to imitate Joanna in this book, buying stuff at the 5 and dime store to make stuff, setting up a mini-museum in my room, etc. Coming from a very difficult home as a child, this book transported me into this creative little girl's world! I still have a copy and will pass it to my grown daughters. Tina F.
