Marbled endpapers, top page edges gilt. In card box case. In very good condition with good box case. (Case is faded and rubbed at edges, corners bumped, some chips to paper, split to one corner. With label on lid “Isis Books, Rustic Brown Leather.” Book itself is in virtually near fine condition, lovely clean smart cover, these soft edges are often very rubbed and chipped but this is a lovely almost pristine example. There is some moderate foxing to the back sides of marbled endpapers, and some minor darkening to adjacent half-title and prelims. Else pages all very clean, bright and tight throughout. No penned inscriptions. Else an excellent copy. 636pp. Illustrated with 16 B&W plates including decorative title page.
