First Edition, with GHD symbol on title and copyright. Octavo; 341 pp. Pictorial dust jacket illustrated by Edmund Dulac; bound in green cloth with text stamped in dark green on cover and spine.
Jacket only partially present, lacking majority of spine, entire back cover, and interior flap. Previous owner's [Elsie Carman] attractive bookplate featuring a tall sailing ship on front pastedown. Corners lightly rubbed. Cloth toned on spine. Opens easily between gatherings, but binding sound. Small brown spot on edge of the last few pages, otherwise pages are clean and unmarked.
