Before the age of jets and cell phones, travel was a grand event to be shared with the ones left behind through postcards. Beginning in the 19th century, these brief little messages offered a very affordable way to share both thoughts and images from abroad. Highly staturated color etchings and photographs of famous landmarks that were somehow even greater than the real thing. Quite a few vintage postcards have made it through the years unused, safely tucked away in and forgotten in a drawer or a traveler's book, standing as souvenir of their journey or testament to a forgotten letter home.
