This slender volume (28 pages) consists of two autobiographical essays by Anderson. "Alice," is a musing on beauty and lost love, and "The Lost Novel," is an examination of a writer's relationship to his art.

1935 First edition. No dust jacket. Red cloth with black wrap-around the spine. Spine has faded somewhat. Boards show minor wear along the bottom edge, top & bottom of spine and at the ends. Bottom spine is bumped. Name plate on inside cover with name. Name is also signed on first end page with date of 5/20/1935. Pages are tan but clean, not torn and the corners are not bent.
