Stated third printing (1918) of the second edition of 1916 (the first had been issued the previous year as the work of "A British Statesman"). A rare original Huebsch printing of this singular work opposing the criminal statecraft that resulted in the Great War. Author Francis Neilson and editor Albert Jay Nock would found The Freeman a few years later. This copy bears the ownership label of American civil servant and publisher William Morgan Shuster to the front pastedown; else unmarked with a little spotting to edges.
