This publication is internally in near fine condition, binding firm, cover quite bright subject to being affected by relatively inoffensive pinkish staining , spine intact with moderate wear to extremities, moderate wear to edges of cover. In light brown wraps (small closed tear and 1/4" chip). An example of this scarce little pamphlet is found only in Univ. Kansas, and U.C. Santa Barbara. Bound in orange paper backed in tan cloth, bound without preliminaries.

Collection from family trip in 1952 includes original letter from Cunard Line Agents' Bulletin C-16 dated 6/14/52 in very good condition. Two brochures from the Caronia, one artist signature is G.H. Iavis. One book printed in England, one is printed in U.S.A. and the letter is from New York. Minor scratches and wear for the age and the First Class tag for the Cunard White Star Limited to Southampton, First Section is intact with the oriingal string. 1945-1948 – humorous greeting cards, many depicting the misogyny and racial stereotypes of the period. Artists not identified; Birthday, Get Well, Graduation, Congratulations, Xmas.
In the form of two photograph albums, two-post, decorated burgundy covers, black paper pages, with two cards mounted per page.
Condition: individual cards range from Good with occasional folds and creases to Fine – mostly the latter. The album is fair only with extensive exterior wear, creases and tears to some of the pages – not affecting the cards.

[i-vi,1]-111,[112-121] pp. Octavo, fine/near fine; though the dj appears to be price clipped, the price stamp of the National Theatre Bookshop in London appears just there. Carefully annotated theater programs, annotated by Gielgud from the age of 13 to 21, were saved by his mother and donated to the Raymond Mander and Joe Mitchenson Theatre Collection. Gielgud adds comments 70 years later. Generously illustrated throughout with photos of the programs and of the productions, perhaps more than 150 photos. Produced to celebrate his 90th birthday. Inscribed by Gielgud in May, 1994, and shortly after by Dave & Matt to Dr. T. (composer Millard Thomson).
