Dustjacket has small edge cut. "Slavery was widespread throughout the Mediterranean lands where Christianity was born and developed. A particularly fresh copy, with slight closed tears (1") at front cover hinge at head and tail. Please see photos. Amid "excitement caused by this gold fever, and the frantic preparations made to get there, and get there quick," Fraser departed San Francisco for Skagway on the S.S. Queen in early January, 1898.
