Full red embossed calf, gilt topboard illustration (Sermon on the mount) rear illustration (Rebecca at the well), gilt print and decorated spine with 5 raised bands, gilt edge dentelles, a.e.g. Demy 4to. pp. [8], vi, 3-1124, [11], map, 348, [2] list of NT illustration, [2] blank. Very Good. Top board has a dark stain and is 2/3 attached; some cap chipping and slightly darkened spine with some stains; light corner dampstain to last pages of New Testament. Hand calligraphy presentation ffep dated January 1, 1862 from a son to his mother (Jerauld). Register names Sherman, Ellis, Jerauld, Pickering 1793-1842 in beautiful calligraphy.
